Anto the Italian Whisperer & the Zen Artists will present Anto’s debut music album “Sogno” (Dream).
For this event, Anto will be accompanied by the Zen Artists: Lady Kiah on trumpet, Andrea Walls on violin, Himoko the dancer. Anto and the Zen artists will invite you to embark on a meditative healing journey of awakening your sensorial presence through sound, music, Italian Whispers, poetry in Italian and Neapolitan, and story-telling. Anto shares about his healing journey from Mnt. Vesuvius, gulf of Naples in Italy, to Tahoma in the Pacific Northwest, and about his connection to Haleakala and Maui, Hawaii islands.

Anto Ferrante the Italian Whisperer is an Italian composer, guitarist, singer & song-writer who lives in Seattle, Washington. Composing in English, Italian and Sanskrit, his lyrics express his heritage (Italian) and life journey in Italy and West Coast of the United States as well as his love of Buddhism and Eastern philosophies. His multi-instrumental songs are instinctual and melancholic with roots in the Mediterranean. He uses music composition as a therapeutic and contemplative practice to awaken his heart and hold his emotions with compassion. Anto is also the founder and artistic curator of the Zen Arts Group (www.zagseattle.org). Through his music and hosting house concerts Anto wishes to inspire others to explore and express their creativity, embodiment and emotions, and to provide a message of hope. Kiah Abendroth, “Lady Kiah”, is a third generation female trumpet player. In addition to performing in diverse genres on the trumpet all around the USA, Lady Kiah is also a muti-instrumentalist and loop artist, dedicated to uplifting hearts and spreading love through sound. Andrea Walls is a classically trained violinist who is began playing at the age of 8. She is versed in many styles including Jazz, Rock, Middle Eastern, African, Latin & Pop. She’s been living & playing professionally on Maui for the last 24 years.
HIMIKO is a dancer. Himiko began her study of classic ballet and Japanese calligraphy at age three. Since then, her dance studies have included Contemporary, Duncan Dance, Butoh and Ballroom. She collaborates with other artists to bring together her own style of dance with Japanese calligraphy to create new works of art. Today, she will focus on just Dance as her language.
